UNM Professor Lonna Atkeson

Albuquerque Press Women will host UNM Professor of Political Science Lonna Atkeson for a luncheon on Monday, Nov.12 at 11:45 a.m. at the UNM Eleganté Hotel, 2020 Menaul NE.  Atkeson will discuss her take on the election campaigns and results.

Atkeson is a regents’ lecturer and director of the Center for the Study of Voting, Elections and Democracy in the Political Science Department at the University of New Mexico.  Her research program involves a wide number of subfields within political science including elections, campaigns, election administration, public opinion, political behavior, the media, political psychology, state politics, gender politics and political methodology.  She is a national expert in the field of election administration.

Please make plans to arrive at the hotel early.  APW is preparing to host the state convention for New Mexico Press Women and will be raising money with a silent auction.  If you arrive before lunch you will have plenty of time to get your bids in.
