Executive Director of Mission Graduate

Albuquerque Press Women will hear about Mission Graduate at their monthly lunch meeting on Monday, Nov. 11 at 11:45 a.m. at the MCM Eleganté Hotel at 2020 Menaul NE. Angelo Gonzales, the executive director of Mission Graduate will discuss the community-wide effort to bring residents of the Albuquerque metropolitan area into the classroom.

The goal is to convince 60,000 citizens to graduate with postsecondary degrees by 2020. It’s an audacious attempt to raise the education level of the entire community. Mission Graduate is now a major project for the United Way of Central New Mexico.

Gonzales is a research assistant professor at the University of New Mexico College of Education, chair of the New Mexico AfterSchool Alliance Leadership Council, president of the board of the Albuquerque Teacher Federation’s Teacher Leadership Foundation and a founding board member of the New Mexico Learning Alliance.

Please join Albuquerque Press Women for this interesting vision of the future of Albuquerque. Cost of the lunch is $15 for members and $21 for non-members. Please make your reservation by Wednesday, Nov. 6 by calling 296-3564 or emailing
