Lonna Atkeson is a professor, regents’ lecturer and director of the Center for the Study of Voting, Elections and Democracy in the Political Science Department at the University of New Mexico. She will take a critical look at the election results when she speaks to the Albuquerque Press Women on Monday, Nov. 10 at 11:45 a.m. at the MCM Eleganté (2020 Menaul NE).
Atkeson is interested in who actually votes. New Mexico voters have been blasted with a torrent of angry and negative campaign ads for the last few months. Did the rain of negative ads drown the enthusiasm of some voters? She will speak about who voted and who stayed home.
Please make reservations for the lunch by Wed. Nov. 5. To make reservations, please email email@example.com or call (505) 720-7821. If a special meal is required, please note that when you make your reservation. Cost of the luncheon is $15 for members and $21 for non-members.
