Doug Swift, the long time treasurer for Albuquerque Press Women has left us. He served as treasurer until last June, working tirelessly to keep our records in order, preparing name tags for meetings and keeping track of our roster of members. We will miss him and his enthusiasm as he rewarded members attending meetings with surprise gifts. Doug was a technical writer who worked for CNM for decades. The photograph on the left is from the Albuquerque Community Foundation where Doug and Jane were founding members. The Board of Albuquerque Press Women chose speakers for the meetings and Doug was an astute contributor of ideas for speakers that would attract new members and keep the current members interested. He was active and involved always.

Doug Swift was 90.  He is survived by his wife Jane and his children Sharon Leslie of Durham, N.C., Susan and Rob Ertmer of Greeley, Co., David and Nichol Swift and Clyde Burke of Garner N.C. and Melanie and Grant Swezy of Midland, Texas. We will miss him.
