Join Albuquerque Press Women and Friends at 11:30 a.m. at the Golden Corral (5207 San Mateo NE) on Monday, April 10 for an enlightening discussion about the proposed sick leave ordinance for the city. The ordinance will be on the municipal ballot in October and will affect many businesses in the community.

Kent Cravens, Executive Director of the Greater Albuquerque Association of REALTORS will discuss implications of the ballot measure from the point of view of the impact it will have on small businesses. He has extensive experience as the former owner of an Alphagraphics business franchise, as a former state senator and longtime activist in economic issues.

Adriann Barboa is the field director of Strong Families New Mexico, the group that found enough citizen signatures to place the measure on the ballot. She will discuss the issue from the point of view the measure would have on employees of small businesses.

This should be a topic of interest to all Albuquerque citizens. Everyone is welcome. People who are not members of APWF will be asked to pay an additional five dollars.
