Through the Legislative Looking Glass

Sander Rue

Christine Trujillo

The 2020 session of the New Mexico legislature has ended. The dust has all but settled. Now what actually happened as legislators fought their hardest battles behind the scenes? Join Albuquerque Press Women and Friends on Monday, March 9 at 11:30 a.m. at Mimi’s Restaurant (4316 The 25 Way NE) to hear a review of the session from Senator Sander Rue of Sandoval County and Representative Christine Trujillo from Bernalillo County.

Rue serves on the NM Senate Finance Committee. Trujillo serves on the House Appropriations Committee. Both had a front row seat for the biggest battles of this financial session. What were the most difficult decisions and what swayed those budget choices? We will have a chance to hear all about it.

Anyone is welcome at meetings of APWF. We order from the menu at Mimi’s and non-members are charged an additional $5. Albuquerque Press Women and Friends consists of people working in the communications field.
